Getting a God consciousness
Lately my life has been a mess,
Maybe God's giving me a test,
Lord, why won't you give me rest,
I heard: you need a God consciousness.
"Lord", I said, "what does that mean?,
What do I do, just refrain from sin?,
I read your Word, pray now and then,
How can this be, can you tell me when?"
He said "put me above all other,
Your spouse, friend, sister and mother,
Preface each choice with thoughts about God,
It takes prayer, fasting and studying the Word
Give me your whole life, hold nothing back,
No more this lukewarm, hot and cold stuff,
Set about putting your life back on track,
That's why the enemy made your life just rough"
On my knees, repentance starts to flow,
I can feel it, I know it, my faith just grows
Positive vibes overwhelm my thought process
So I'm starting to get a God consciousness.
